The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, congratulated his compatriots and residents of the city of Arkadag on the second anniversary of the city's opening. This was reported by the state news agency TDH.

In his congratulatory message, the Hero Arkadag noted the significance of the measures being taken under the leadership of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, emphasising the development of the economy and the unity of the people in the International Year of Peace and Trust.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty stressed that the city is an outstanding example of national architecture and blends harmoniously with the nature of Kopetdag. Thanks to the construction, new jobs and comfortable housing have been created, reflecting the success of the state policy of supporting citizens.

Over the past two years, social, administrative and digital infrastructure has been developed in Arkadag, schools, kindergartens, medical and cultural institutions have been built, and the transport system and communication services have been improved. Particular attention has been paid to environmental cleanliness, which has been confirmed by international certificates.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov announced the implementation of a long-term development concept for the city of Arkadag for 2024-2052 and the construction of the second phase of the city, which will be completed in 2027. In conclusion, the Hero Arkadag wished his compatriots health, prosperity and new successes.
