The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, met with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, at Ashgabat International Airport, AsmanNews  reports.

The guest was welcomed according to Turkmen tradition—with bread, salt, and flowers. The parties then held a brief meeting.

Hero-Arkadag thanked President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for his visit and participation in the International Forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality. He noted that the presence of the Kazakh delegation reflects Kazakhstan’s respect for Turkmenistan’s neutral status.

The President of Kazakhstan expressed gratitude for the invitation and emphasized the significance of the upcoming Forum, which attracts international attention. He described participating in the events commemorating the International Day of Neutrality and Turkmenistan’s neutrality anniversary as a great honor.

The parties discussed prospects for Turkmen-Kazakh cooperation and confirmed their readiness to develop interactions in line with previously reached agreements. They exchanged good wishes, and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wished the Forum every success.
