Since the beginning of the year, the Well Workover Department of ‘Nebitgazdüýpliabatlaýyş’, a State Concern of ‘Türkmennebit’, has restored 289 wells, exceeding its target of 271. This has allowed for the additional production of approximately 141,000 tonnes of oil, which is 35% higher than the planned volume, according to the news website Asmannews.

The ‘Barsagelmez’ division made a significant contribution, with specialists repairing 117 wells. As a result, over 46,000 tonnes of oil were produced, which is 27% more than planned, as well as 1.389 million cubic metres of natural gas for consumer needs.

The repair work is being carried out as part of the state programme to modernise Turkmenistan's fuel and energy complex. It covers the exploration and production of hydrocarbons, the development of new fields and the expansion of processing capacities.

The efficiency of the ‘Barsagelmez’ division is ensured by modern equipment from China and Russia, which has made it possible to increase the effectiveness of well overhauls.
