The ‘Galkynysh’ gas field, one of the largest in Turkmenistan, has received another industrial flow of natural gas with a daily output of 2.24 million cubic metres. This was reported by the newspaper ‘Neutral Turkmenistan’, according to Turkmenportal.

Well No. 264, drilled to a depth of over 4,000 metres, was constructed by ‘Türkmengazburawlaýyş’ on behalf of ‘Marygazçykaryş’ as part of the field development project being implemented by the ‘Turkmengas’ State Concern. The gas-bearing layer was discovered at a depth of 3,852 to 4,011 metres.

According to experts, the commissioning of the new well will strengthen the production capacity of the country's fuel and energy sector.
