A solemn ceremony was held in the city of Arkadag to hand over the keys to apartments and cottages to hundreds of families. The move-in date for these modern residential complexes was timed to coincide with the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, according to the IIC.

The event went beyond the scope of a typical housewarming party. The Nurgeldiyev family received the keys to their apartment on the day they picked up their newborn son from the maternity hospital, and for the Yazlyev family, the handover of the keys to their new cottage coincided with their wedding day, marked by a traditional wedding procession on Akhal-Teke horses.

The new residents were provided with flats in a nine-storey building and two-storey cottages equipped with modern appliances, climate control, high-speed internet and IP television. The ceremony was attended by officials, elders and artists.
