Russia has provided citizens of Turkmenistan with 500 state-funded places to study at Russian colleges and universities in the 2026-2027 academic year. This was reported by the news website Turkmenportal.

The statement notes that the programme opens up the opportunity to receive education in Russia free of charge.

Applications are accepted through the education-in-russia.com portal. Registration for participation in the 2026-2027 academic year quota campaign began on 15 September.
