Young specialists from Turkmenistan successfully performed at an international competition

The Turkmen delegation took part in the International Forum on Professional Skills “Tajikistan–2026,” which was held from May 27 to 30 in the Danghara district of the Khatlon region of the Republic of Tajikistan. The delegation included representatives of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and students from secondary vocational technical institutions, according to the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
According to the source, forum participants discussed modern vocational education programs, international experience in assessing professional skills, training in-demand specialists, and developing cooperation with employers. Particular attention was paid to training personnel for the energy, construction, manufacturing, services, transport, logistics, creative industries, and design sectors.
The forum program included thematic sessions on the development of vocational education and youth employment, as well as a visit to the Nurek Hydroelectric Power Station. Participants were introduced to the practical application of knowledge in the fields of energy, electrical engineering, welding, and technical maintenance.
Within the framework of the forum, international skills competitions were held with the participation of young specialists from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, China, and Türkiye. Contestants completed practical tasks in electrical work, plastering, electric and gas welding, and installation and adjustment of solar energy equipment. The work was evaluated by independent international experts.
Representatives of Turkmenistan showed strong results. A student of the Ashgabat Construction Secondary Vocational School under the Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan, Nepes Rakhmanberdiyev, took second place. Another student from the Ashgabat Energy Secondary Vocational School under the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan, Ymamberdi Sokhbetov, was among the top four competitors.
The forum aimed to develop vocational education, improve workforce training, and expand international cooperation in this field.
