The improvement of national legislation and the preparation of new draft laws are continuing in Turkmenistan. This was announced by Chairperson of the Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova at a Cabinet of Ministers meeting on October 31, reports the TDH news agency.

The draft laws are being developed taking into account proposals from ministries and sectoral departments. They cover issues related to the country's socio-economic development and improving the population's standard of living.

Dunyagozel Gulmanova also briefed the meeting on the visit of a Mejlis delegation to Dushanbe. During talks with the leadership of the Parliament of Tajikistan, the prospects for cooperation in the trade and economic, fuel and energy, cultural and humanitarian, and transport and transit sectors were discussed.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to continue efforts to improve national legislation and enhance the effectiveness of legislative activities.
