Geneva considers Turkmenistan's accession to the WTO and preparations for LLDC 3

On 18 July, a meeting with representatives of the International Trade Centre (ITC) was held at the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the United Nations in Geneva. This was reported by the online news resource TerraNews.

The parties discussed Turkmenistan's accession to the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and preparations for the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3), which will be held in August 2025 in Avaza.

The interlocutors discussed Turkmenistan's current progress towards WTO accession. The importance of LLDC 3 as an important platform for discussing issues and developing strategies for sustainable growth in landlocked countries was also emphasised.
