The closing ceremony of International Francophonie Month was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The event marked the conclusion of a series of cultural and educational activities involving diplomats, lecturers, university students and schoolchildren from across the country. The competition has been held annually in Turkmenistan for 18 years. Students from various universities who had passed the qualifying rounds took part in the final. They demonstrated their proficiency in the French language.

Following the event, the winners were presented with their awards. The country’s role in the development of international cultural and educational cooperation was highlighted.
