On the eve of Ashgabat Day celebrations, UNIDO Deputy Director General Ciyong Zou shared his impressions of the Turkmen capital. During his visit in 2023, he was impressed by the modern infrastructure and innovative development of the city, noting that real peace lies not only in the absence of conflicts, but also in sustainable progress. This year, UNIDO and Turkmenistan are celebrating 30 years of partnership. Ciyong Zou emphasised Turkmenistan's leading role in the development of the capital city, calling this experience an inspiring example for other states.

The organisation reaffirmed its continued support to Turkmenistan in achieving the goals of sustainable development and prosperity, noting the country's significant progress in this direction.
