On 16 May 2025, a solemn event dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality was held in the village of Edelbay in the Astrakhan district of the Stavropol Krai. The event was organised by the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Astrakhan) and secondary school No. 14 of Edelbay village. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The holiday began with a ceremony of laying flowers at the monument of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Pyragy, whose work symbolises the spiritual values and wisdom of the Turkmen people. The event was attended by representatives of the district administration, cultural and educational figures, as well as students from Turkmenistan studying in Russia.

As part of the programme, the guests presented vivid creative numbers: poems, folk songs, dances and musical compositions reflecting the rich cultural heritage of Turkmenistan. At the end of the concert, the most active participants were awarded with memorable gifts from the Consulate of Turkmenistan.
