The Turkmenistan national Kyokushin karate team has travelled to Tashkent to participate in the Central Asian Cup, which will take place from 18 to 20 August. This was reported by the news website Turkmenportal.

For Turkmen athletes, the tournament will be an important stage in their preparation for the World Championships in Maebashi, Japan, scheduled for the end of November.

The team is led by Meylis Pashakuliyev. It consists of 40 karatekas of different ages and three coaches. The delegation includes both beginners and experienced athletes.

According to the team leader, the team has been preparing seriously for the competition and hopes to represent the country with dignity at the regional level.
