The Republic of Tatarstan plans to open its own trading house in Turkmenistan to further increase mutual trade turnover. This was announced by Oleg Korobchenko, Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, following the tenth meeting of the joint Turkmen-Tatarstan working group on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation, according to Turkmenportal.

According to the Minister, a representative of the Tatarstan trading house confirmed its readiness to launch an office in Turkmenistan, which, according to the parties' estimates, will significantly expand economic exchanges.

Korobchenko also stressed that in 2024, trade turnover between Tatarstan and Turkmenistan exceeded $35 million, expressing hope that by the end of this year, this figure will approach the $50 million mark.
