The fall agricultural campaigns and preparations for the Turkmen Alabay Festival were the main topics of a report by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T.Atahallyev at the Cabinet of Ministers meeting on October 17. This was reported by the TDH news agency.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, wheat sowing for next year’s harvest is continuing in the velayats, along with irrigation of the emerging seedlings. At the same time, cotton harvesting is underway, along with its delivery to cotton-ginning plants and collection points, as well as the processing of raw cotton.

T. Atahallyev also reported on preparations for events marking the Turkmen Alabai Festival, scheduled for the last Sunday in October.

After hearing the report, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed that grain planting be completed on schedule, that the cotton harvest be organized efficiently, and that the comprehensive development of agriculture continue. The head of state ordered that special attention be given to preparations for the holiday.
