In Turkmenistan, 342 investment projects involving Russian companies worth $3.5 billion are being implemented. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Nokerguly Atagulyev at a meeting of the Turkmen-Russian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, according to the news website Turkmenportal.
There are 38 enterprises with Russian capital operating in the country, including ‘Gazprom’, ‘KAMAZ’, ‘Vozrozhdenie’ and ‘Tatneft’.
Russia is one of Turkmenistan's key trading partners, with bilateral trade reaching $1.5 billion per year. N. Atagulyev noted the steady growth in mutual trade and emphasised the potential for further expansion of supplies.
‘The Russian market is one of our priorities, and we are interested in both importing and exporting our products to the Russian market,’ said the Deputy Prime Minister.
