A meeting between the Prosecutor General of Turkmenistan, Begmurat Muhamedov, and the Executive Secretary of the Coordinating Council of Prosecutors General of the CIS member states, Yuri Zhdanov, took place in Ashgabat. This was reported by IIC.
During the talks, the Turkmen side was invited to the 36th meeting of the Coordinating Council of Prosecutors General of the CIS, which will be held on September 30 – October 1, 2026, in Kazan. The parties discussed cooperation between the prosecution services of CIS countries in the fields of security and sustainable development, as well as joint activities during Turkmenistan’s CIS chairmanship in 2026.
Begmurat Muhamedov also expressed interest in the agenda of the 14th St. Petersburg International Legal Forum, which will take place on June 24–26, 2026. In addition, the Prosecutor General of Turkmenistan received an invitation to the 24th meeting of the Prosecutors General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states. The meeting will be held in Kazan following the CIS Prosecutors General Coordinating Council session.
