On June 22, 2026, a working meeting was held in Warsaw between the Head of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan, A. Sazakova, and the Head of the Border Guard of the Republic of Poland, Robert Bagan. This was reported by the press service of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the two sides confirmed their readiness to continue cooperation in the areas of peace, security, and sustainable development. They also discussed prospects for interaction within the global migration system.
As a result of the negotiations, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan and the State Border Guard Service of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Poland on cooperation in the field of migration. The document provides for the expansion of information exchange and best practices, the holding of joint consultations and expert meetings, as well as the development of professional contacts between specialists.
The parties noted that the signing of the Memorandum contributes to strengthening bilateral cooperation and forming an international legal framework for interaction in the field of migration.
At the end of the meeting, the participants expressed confidence in the further development of partnership and the implementation of joint initiatives.
