On 18 September, in Tehran, a meeting was held in Tehran between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ilyas Gayipov, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Niger to Turkmenistan (residing in Tehran), Seydou Zatou Ali. This was reported by the press service of the Turkmen diplomatic mission.

During the negotiation, the parties discussed the prospects for developing cooperation between Turkmenistan and Niger, as well as current international and regional issues of mutual interest.
