Vepa Hajiyev, Turkmenistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, met with the leadership of the Global Innovation and Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Transport. This was reported by the IIC of Turkmenistan.

The parties discussed expanding cooperation within the framework of the UN Decade of Sustainable Transport for 2026–2035. Particular attention was paid to the preparation of a joint event on 8 July, dedicated to promoting the Decade’s initiatives, developing international partnerships and implementing innovative solutions in the transport sector.

The participants emphasised the importance of working together on practical strategies, exchanging experience and utilising new approaches to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
