Turkmenistan and Qatar strengthen bilateral cooperation

On the eve of the extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit in Doha, an important bilateral meeting between delegations from Turkmenistan and Qatar took place. Turkmenistan's Foreign Affairs Minister Rashid Meredov held working talks with Minister of State for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Maryam bin Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad. This was reported by the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Turkmenistan.

During the dialogue, the diplomats discussed in detail key aspects of bilateral cooperation, paying particular attention to the development of political dialogue, the expansion of trade and economic ties, and the strengthening of humanitarian cooperation between the two countries. A significant part of the talks was devoted to analysing the current regional situation and discussing pressing international issues.

At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening inter-state relations based on the principles of mutual respect and trust. The participants in the talks expressed confidence in the prospects for the development of constructive dialogue between Turkmenistan and Qatar.
