Turkmenistan and Georgia discussed cooperation in the field of education

On June 10, 2026, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Georgia, D. Seyitmammedov, held a meeting with the Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, G. Mikandadze. This was reported by the news agency “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
The parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the fields of education, science, and youth policy. Special attention was given to improving the legal and regulatory framework governing interaction between the two countries in the scientific and educational sphere.
The prospects for developing academic mobility, expanding exchanges of students and teaching staff, as well as implementing joint educational programs were also considered. Strengthening inter-university cooperation and introducing advanced practices in personnel training were discussed.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in further developing scientific cooperation and their readiness to support new initiatives in this area.
