On 10 September, Turkmenistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov held a meeting with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Head of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) Kaha Imnadze. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The interlocutors discussed issues of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Centre in the context of the start of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.

Particular attention was paid to Turkmenistan's priority initiatives at the current session of the General Assembly. It was noted that a number of them are consistent with the activities of the UNRCCA. In this regard, Ashgabat confirmed its intention to actively cooperate with the Centre in order to implement them.
