A Turkmen delegation comprising representatives of the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan visited Germany as part of a project by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) ‘European Union for Green Growth in Turkmenistan: Policy Dialogue and Climate Change Actions for 2024–2028.’ This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.

At Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg, the Turkmen delegation met with the university's rector, Claudia Becker, to discuss prospects for academic and scientific cooperation.

A thematic session was also held with the participation of experts from Turkmenistan and Germany, dedicated to energy-efficient technologies and renewable energy sources. Of particular interest was the presentation by Professor Christopher Conrad of the Department of Geoecology at Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg on environmental innovations.

During the visit, the delegation visited the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Köthen and the Clausthal University of Technology in Saxony, where prospects for educational and scientific exchange were discussed. Professor Joachim Deubener, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation at Clausthal University of Technology, presented key areas of scientific work, including materials, energy and digitalisation.

The trip was a significant step in the development of Turkmen-German cooperation and laid the foundation for the implementation of joint projects in science, education and ecology.
