Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of Turkmenistan Halbibi Tachjanova took part in the second meeting of ministers responsible for family and social policy of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS) held in Baku. This was reported by the news website Turkmenportal.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, as well as OTS Secretary General Kubanychbek Omuraliev. Participants discussed issues related to strengthening the institution of the family, combating early marriage and preserving traditional values.

In her speech, Halbibi Tachjanova noted that Turkmenistan pays special attention to involving women in the socio-economic life of the country, ensuring gender equality and protecting women's rights.

A joint declaration was adopted at the end of the meeting.
