From 23 to 24 October, a delegation from Turkmenistan led by Kakajan Yagmyrov, Head of the International Relations and Logistics Department of the Ministry of Automobile Transport of Turkmenistan, took part in the Regional Transport Ministers Conference (RTMC 2025) in Islamabad, organised by the Ministry of Communications of Pakistan. This was reported by the press service of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Pakistan.

During the conference, the Turkmen delegation presented the country's transport and logistics potential, noting the key role of Turkmenistan as a transit hub in the region and the development of modern infrastructure facilities — railways and motorways, seaports and logistics centres.

It was also emphasised that the country is actively modernising its transport system, introducing digital solutions and implementing international initiatives on sustainable transport and the integration of regional corridors.

The delegation expressed its readiness to strengthen cooperation with Pakistan and expand bilateral and multilateral ties for the development of trade and regional connectivity.

The conference confirmed the desire of countries in the region, including Turkmenistan, to develop a transport and logistics network as an important factor in economic integration.
