Representatives of Turkmenistan took part in the III International Scientific and Practical Conference “The Contribution of Universities to the Development of an Inclusive Culture in Society,” held on 28–29 May 2026 in Moscow at the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia named after Patrice Lumumba (RUDN University). This was reported by the IIC of Turkmenistan.
The forum, organized under the auspices of the UNESCO Commission, brought together government officials, researchers, and experts from CIS countries.
The main focus of the event was the development of inclusive education and the coordination of efforts between science and practice for its sustainable implementation. Participants discussed the creation of an inclusive environment in universities, psychological and pedagogical support for students, and the adaptation of educational conditions, including for international students. Special attention was given to interstate cooperation in this field.
As part of the conference, a meeting of the working group of the CIS Council for Cooperation in Education was held, where a draft joint strategy for the development of inclusive education was discussed, taking into account national specificities. Following the meeting, further steps on the document were outlined, and the conference materials are planned to be compiled into an electronic collection.
