Turkmenistan presented its achievements over 34 years of independence at a briefing in Moscow

On 30 September, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation held a briefing dedicated to the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, the 30th anniversary of neutrality and the results of the Halk Maslahaty meeting. This was reported by the news agency ‘Turkmenistan: Golden age’.

The event was attended by representatives of the media, the Turkmen diaspora, and students from Turkmenistan studying at Russian universities. Guests learned about the country's achievements over 34 years of independence, key events in the socio-political and international spheres, as well as the international initiatives of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, announced at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.

Particular attention was paid to the results of the Halk Maslahaty meeting on 19 September and the adoption of the Constitutional Law ‘On the Legal Foundations of the Policy of Peace and Trust of Neutral Turkmenistan’.

The symbolic significance of 2025 – 30 years of Turkmenistan's neutrality and the 80th anniversary of the UN – was also noted. An international forum in Ashgabat in December, timed to coincide with the anniversary of the country's neutrality, was announced.

Guests had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with books by Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as well as visit a photo exhibition and video screening demonstrating Turkmenistan's achievements during its years of independence.
