Turkmenistan is represented at the Kazan Energy Forum

The Kazan International Energy Forum ‘EnergoProm-2026’ is taking place in Kazan from 1 to 3 April. The Turkmen delegation is led by Annageldi Saparov, Minister of Energy of Turkmenistan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The forum, which is taking place at “Kazan EXPO”, is attended by energy ministers from CIS countries, representatives of relevant government departments, heads of major energy companies and equipment manufacturers. At the specialised exhibition, more than 100 companies are showcasing modern solutions, including gas turbines and the latest electrical equipment.

Discussions are taking place on joint projects, technology exchange and the creation of a sustainable energy sector, which contributes to the strengthening of economic ties. Turkmenistan continues to modernise and diversify its economy through the introduction of advanced technologies and cooperation with foreign partners. Modern gas turbine power stations, high-voltage lines and distribution substations have been built in the country.

As part of the forum, a meeting of the CIS Electricity Council was held, dedicated to the coordination of energy systems, the development of the fuel and energy sector, digitalisation and improving the reliability of infrastructure.

On 2 April, the Minister of Energy of Turkmenistan met with the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, Sergey Tsivilev. The parties discussed the prospects for Turkmen-Russian cooperation, the modernisation of power systems and the introduction of advanced technologies, including renewable energy.
