The Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3), to be held in the ‘Avaza’ National Tourist Zone, will bring together Heads of states, ministers, investors and civil society representatives from 32 countries. This was reported by the news agency Orient.

The conference will focus on the Avaza Action Programme for 2024–2034, which includes priorities in infrastructure, trade, digitalisation and sustainability. UN Secretary-General António Guterres is expected to attend and a private sector forum will be held.

The organisers promise not only a packed agenda, but also a cultural programme introducing guests to Turkmen traditions.

According to representatives of the UN and participating countries, LLDC 3 is a chance to rethink global solidarity and take support for the most vulnerable countries to a new level.
