On 16-17 August this year, the Olympic Village in the Turkmen capital will host the traditional taekwondo competition for the Cup of the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea. This will be the 13th tournament since the competition was founded in 2010. This was reported by the IIC.

According to representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Turkmenistan, the annual taekwondo competitions in Ashgabat have become an important part of the development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of sport. Currently, taekwondo is developing rapidly in Turkmenistan, with about 500 athletes practising this martial art in the country.
