Abdylla Geldiyev, Minister of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan, took part in the conference of construction ministers of the ‘China – Central Asia’ format, held in Beijing from 6 to 8 November. This was reported by TerraNews.
The forum was devoted to issues of sustainable urban development and expanding cooperation within the framework of the ‘Belt and Road Initiative’, continuing on from the second ‘China – Central Asia’ summit, which was held earlier in Astana.
Speaking at the conference, Abdylla Geldiyev presented the development strategy for the construction industry in Turkmenistan and noted that the rich architectural heritage of the Great Silk Road serves as a solid foundation for modern international partnership.
The minister outlined four key areas of cooperation: the development of ‘green’ infrastructure, the reduction of seismic risks, the exchange of experience in the field of architecture and urban planning, and the strengthening of scientific and technical potential through joint seminars and conferences.
