A meeting was held in Bern between Vepa Hajiyev, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the United Nations in Geneva, and Pierre-Yves Fux, Head of the Eurasia Division of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs. This was reported by the Orient news agency.

The parties highly appreciated the level and dynamics of bilateral relations, noting their constructive nature across the entire spectrum of cooperation.

The Swiss side expressed gratitude to Turkmenistan for organising a summit meeting in New York between the Presidents of the two countries and stressed the importance of maintaining active dialogue.

Particular attention was paid to trade and economic cooperation, the expansion of humanitarian cooperation, joint international initiatives and the preparation of future high-level visits.

The meeting confirmed the desire of both countries to continue strengthening mutually beneficial ties.
