On 28 July 2025, the final meeting of the project council was held in Ashgabat, marking the successful completion of an important initiative. For seven years, experts worked to create an effective system for assessing risks and responding to seismic threats, with a particular focus on the country's capital. This was reported by the IIC.

At the final event, representatives of government agencies, the scientific community and international experts discussed the results achieved and outlined prospects for further cooperation. Particular attention was paid to plans to expand the project to other regions of the country, including new cities and tourist areas.

The project has not only strengthened the country's technical capacity but also helped raise public awareness of earthquake safety measures. The next step will be to integrate the experience gained into the national development strategy and educational programmes, which will enable Turkmenistan to continue improving its natural disaster protection system.
