On 14 June, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between the Head of the foreign ministry, Rashid Meredov, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkmenistan, Ali Mojtaba Ruzbehani. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan expressed concern over the escalation of tensions in the Middle East. Emphasising Turkmenistan's commitment to the principles of neutrality and the UN Charter, he noted the inadmissibility of the use of force in the settlement of international disputes.

The Iranian ambassador informed the Turkmen side of Tehran's position on current events in the region. Both sides agreed that any conflicts should be resolved exclusively by diplomatic means based on international law. The Iranian diplomat expressed special gratitude for the prompt humanitarian assistance provided by Turkmenistan to the official Iranian delegation travelling through Turkmenistan after visiting one of the neighbouring countries.

The meeting confirmed the mutual interest of the two countries in strengthening regional stability and developing bilateral cooperation.
