Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov reported on the work of the Foreign Ministry for the first four months of 2025 during a government meeting. This is reported by the state news agency TDH.

The report noted visits of Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Uzbekistan and Japan, as well as trips of the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Monaco, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. In addition, Turkmenistan hosted delegations from Tatarstan, Georgia and ECO.

During the reporting period, more than 908 meetings and negotiations with foreign partners were held and 54 international documents were signed. Bilateral contacts through the Foreign Ministry and the work of embassies are actively developing.

Having heard the report, the head of state stressed the priority of developing mutually beneficial foreign policy ties and instructed to continue strengthening cooperation with foreign countries and international organisations.
