The President of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of Myanmar's participation in the forum

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Nyo Saw, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in events dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, the International Day of Neutrality, and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, according to TDH.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the significance of Myanmar’s delegation participating in the International Forum. Nyo Saw expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and highlighted that Turkmenistan’s neutrality policy serves as an example for many countries. He also congratulated Turkmenistan on its milestone anniversaries.

The President of Turkmenistan pointed out the potential for developing relations with countries in the Asia-Pacific region and noted opportunities to expand cooperation with Myanmar in political-diplomatic, economic, and humanitarian spheres. The head of state confirmed Turkmenistan’s readiness to engage both in a bilateral format and within international structures, including the United Nations.

The parties also discussed prospects for acquainting the Myanmar delegation with Turkmenistan’s economic potential. The Turkmen side expressed readiness to consider proposals for developing mutually beneficial partnerships.
