President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov will pay a state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan on 24–25 November. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Rashid Meredov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, according to TDH.

It was noted that Turkmenistan is consistently developing cooperation with neighbouring countries. Diplomatic relations with Kazakhstan have been in place since October 1992. The intergovernmental partnership is expanding and covers various areas. The parties have formed a legal framework comprising 180 documents.

Regular visits and contacts at the highest level remain a key tool for strengthening ties. The countries interact in international organisations, primarily the UN, and support each other's initiatives.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised the importance of Kazakhstan as a close partner of Turkmenistan and instructed the Foreign Affairs Minister to ensure preparations for the visit.
