Yazmyrat Serayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the United Kingdom, has published an article in the international publication ‘Diplomat Magazine’ dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality. This was reported by the Orient news agency.

The article highlights Turkmenistan's contribution to regional stability and international security.

Serayev's series of publications reveals the historical significance of Turkmenistan's neutrality, which was officially recognised by the UN General Assembly in 1995 and reaffirmed in 2015 and 2025. This status contributes to stability, inter-state contacts and regional cooperation.

Turkmenistan actively uses its neutral status as a venue for negotiation. Ambassador also noted the country's participation in international initiatives, including the resolution ‘2025: International Year of Peace and Trust,’ and announced a forum to be held in Ashgabat on 12 December in honour of these events.
