On 7 August, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the US, Esen Aydogdyev, took part in a meeting between US Under-Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker and the ambassadors of Central Asian countries. This was reported by the news website Turkmenportal.

The parties discussed expanding cooperation in the fields of business, critical minerals, artificial intelligence and digitalisation. They also exchanged views on upcoming bilateral and regional contacts and key issues on the shared agenda.

Following the meeting, the importance of continued dialogue and practical cooperation between the US and the countries of Central Asia was emphasised.
