From 18 to 20 November, a delegation from Turkmenistan participated in the CAREC 2025 Business Forum and the 24th Ministerial Conference of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Programme ‘Green and Digital CAREC’ in Bishkek, according to the news website Asmannews.
During the meetings, the Turkmen side confirmed its readiness to strengthen regional economic cooperation, develop sustainable and digital projects, and emphasised the importance of a comprehensive approach to environmental and technological issues.
The delegation representatives supported the updated CAREC strategies covering transport, trade, digital and social areas and presented information on infrastructure modernisation, digital service development, customs process improvement and healthcare system strengthening.
As a result, a Memorandum on the establishment of the CAREC Digital Corridor and the Bishkek Ministerial Declaration on the start of negotiations on the CARTIF Agreement on Trade and Investment Facilitation were signed.
