On 25 June, Turkmenistan's Minister of Education Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiyev met with Ravshanbek Alimov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.

According to the source, during the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation in the field of education and science, emphasising the importance of bilateral partnership.

An example of practical cooperation is the visit of a delegation from the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanisation Engineers, which arrived in Turkmenistan for a 10-day internship. In response, a visit by a delegation from the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University to Uzbekistan is planned.

Priority areas for cooperation were also discussed, including the development of a contractual framework, academic exchanges, joint programmes, forums and scientific events, and the exchange of digital resources.

At the end of the meeting, the Turkmen side invited Uzbek institutions to participate in the International Exhibition and Scientific Conference ‘Health care, Education and Sport in the Era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State’ scheduled for October 2025.
