A phone conversation between Rashid Meredov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, and Jeje Odongo, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uganda, was held on 17 October. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The interlocutors discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations, noting the positive dynamics of political dialogue between the countries.

In this context, they recalled the meeting between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister of Uganda Robinah Nabbanja on the sidelines of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), held in August 2025 in Avaza.

The parties paid special attention to strengthening cooperation in a multilateral format, in particular within the framework of the UN. The Turkmen side also invited the Ugandan delegation to participate in the International Forum on Peace and Trust, scheduled for December 2025 in Ashgabat.
