National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with Kim Jin-pyo, Director of the Institute for Global Innovative Studies of the Republic of Korea, AsmanNews reported.

Kim Jin-pyo expressed gratitude for the invitation and the opportunity to take part in the forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, and congratulated the country’s leadership on the milestone date.

The Hero-Arkadag warmly welcomed the guest and noted that the upcoming forum would serve as a platform for discussing current issues and developing joint approaches.

Both sides emphasized that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to its relations with the Republic of Korea. The partnership is developing both bilaterally and within the framework of the UN and the “Central Asia – Republic of Korea” format. The role of parliamentary diplomacy was highlighted separately. The Turkmen National Leader underlined Kim Jin-pyo’s contribution to strengthening interstate dialogue during his tenure as Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed confidence in further strengthening cooperation and exchanged best wishes for success.
