On 5 June 2025, a video conference was held between representatives of the state concerns ‘Turkmengaz’, ‘Turkmennebit’ and ‘Turkmenhimiya’ and the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of the Philippines. This was reported by the IIC of Turkmenistan.

According to the source, during the meeting, the Philippine side presented an overview of the current situation in the country's energy sector, outlined plans for its modernisation and emphasised the Philippines' interest in expanding international partnerships.

Representatives of Turkmenistan's state concerns briefed their counterparts on Turkmenistan's initiatives to develop natural resources, implement large-scale projects in the fuel and energy and chemical industries, and share their experience of cooperation with foreign partners.

The parties discussed possible formats for cooperation and identified areas of mutual interest. At the end of the talks, an agreement was reached to continue the dialogue and begin developing specific proposals for further cooperation.
