On 13 October 2026 Foreign Affairs Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with Lea Gutierrez Director General of the Central and West Asia Department of the Asian Development Bank. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The parties discussed the current state of cooperation and prospects for its further expansion. Particular attention was paid to the regional agenda, exchange of experience and implementation of joint initiatives.

Following the meeting the parties confirmed their interest in continuing the dialogue and strengthening mutually beneficial partnership between Turkmenistan and the Asian Development Bank.
