On 24 October, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan Annamammet Annayev held a meeting with Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania Dan Iancu. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The interlocutors discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation, noting the steady development of relations based on mutual respect and trust.

Particular attention was paid to political dialogue and preparations for the upcoming interdepartmental consultations. The parties also exchanged views on economic and scientific-technical cooperation, expressing interest in implementing joint projects.

Separately, they discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of transit and transport communications, including the development of the corridor between the Caspian and Black Seas, as well as current consular issues concerning Turkmen citizens in Romania.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their desire to further strengthen friendly relations and expand partnership.
