Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan Nazar Agakhanov met with Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Trade Ahmad bin Mohammed Al-Sayed on October 26 in Doha. The talks took place on the sidelines of the 9-th World Investment Forum, according to the online publication «Business Turkmenistan».

The parties noted the positive dynamics of Turkmen-Qatari relations in various areas and emphasized the importance of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Qatari Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.

The participants of the meeting also discussed the implementation of joint initiatives and prospects for further cooperation in various areas of bilateral cooperation.

The ninth World Investment Forum was held in Doha from October 25 to 27 under the motto «Investing in the Future» («Investing in the Future»). According to the Qatar News Agency QNA, the event was jointly organized by Qatar and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).

The forum brought together more than 5 thousand participants from over 160 countries. They included representatives of governments, international organizations, business circles and the investment community.
