On 29 June, Myratgeldi Seyitmammedov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Qatar, met with Al Johara Yousef Fakhro, Head of the Department for Asian Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar. This was reported by the news agency Orient.

During the meeting, Mr. Seyitmammedov noted the significance of declaring 2025 the ‘International Year of Peace and Trust’ in Turkmenistan, as well as the importance of international events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the country's permanent neutrality.

The parties discussed prospects for strengthening political, cultural and humanitarian ties, as well as the composition of the Qatari delegation to participate in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which will be held in August in the ‘Avaza’ National Tourist Zone on the Caspian Sea coast.
