On 23 October, a telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the conversation, the diplomats noted the high level of friendly and fraternal relations between Turkmenistan and Kuwait.
They separately recalled that in September of this year, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, a meeting was held between the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, which was an important step in strengthening bilateral dialogue.
The Heads of Foreign Affairs emphasised the importance of cooperation between the two countries within the framework of the UN and other international organisations.
In addition, the parties exchanged views on preparations for the upcoming International Forum on Peace and Trust, which is scheduled for December 2025 in Ashgabat.
